Physinews:Over 40
people including children have been reportedly killed by suspected
herdsmen in Chawai Chiefdom, Kamaru Ward in Kauru Local Government Area
of Kaduna State in Nigeria on Sunday, November 13th. About 45 houses were said to
have been razed in the attack.
The State Government in a
statement issued by Samuel Aruwan, spokesman to Governor Nasir el-Rufai,
condemned the attack, describing it it as barbaric conduct by people
who are opposed to peaceful and harmonious living by communities.
The
government stressed the urgency for peace-building and enhancement
security in the area. It said emergency relief for survivors had been
ordered along with enhanced security.
In his reaction, the
Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) urge the state government to fund
a formidable joint military operation that would flush out murderers.
The national Chairman of SOKAPU, Solomon Musa, a lawyer, alleged that
some powerful people were sponsoring terrorists to eliminate the people.
"It
has now become abundantly clear to even the worst skeptics that
Southern Kaduna has become a killing field, where genocide is taking
place unabated,"
Musa urge the youths to never take the law into their hands no mater the provocation.

13/11/16 in a broad day light by the fulani herdsmen killing more than
fourty (40) innocent and peaceful people at kigam village and environs
of chawai chiefdom, Kauru LGA of kaduna state, Nigeria. Over 30 houses
were also burned down by them. Our people are known 4 there peaceful way
of life and accommodation not until when the fulani herdsmen came in
the name of grazing in our land which they were accepted peacefully not
knowing they are CANCER with an evil agenda supported by there unknown
big brothers 2 invade, displace our people and take over our lands for
NO reason.
But, For whatever reason they may have 4 attacking n killing
our people they will never succeed in taking over our God given land
because he that is IN us is greater than whosoever that is with them.
Darkness can never win against light And one day market will end for the
Bamboo's. God's grace. We call on Goverment 4 quick justice and 2
provide the needed security, road network, GSM service and other social
facilities that are lacking in the area. May the soul of our departed
brothers and sisters RIP"
