terrorising the area and other parts of the state, however, met their
waterloo when they were shot by the local vigilante in the area.
“Though the hoodlums escaped the scene, two members of the
gang- Ibrahim and Taiwo, were subsequently arrested at their hideout by
the SARS of the command when they were arranging for a local doctor to
treat an injured member, identified as Mofoof aka Murphy, who later died
as a result of the injuries sustained during the encounter.
“Their arrest was made possible following credible intelligence received from one of the command’s strategic partners.
“The two suspects who confessed to the crime disclosed that
they were responsible for series of robbery activities at different
parts of the state in recent times.”
