Physinews: KAMULI
Police in Kamuli District in Uganda are
investigating circumstances under which a 25-
year-old woman allegedly killed her two
children, aged 2 and 4.
The woman suspected to have mental
problems allegedly picked her two children from
Bright Future Nursery Primary School in Kamuli
on Tuesday (October 18), only to slaughter
them like goats in her father’s house in
Mulamba Ward in Kamuli Municipality.
Thereafter, the suspect who has been operating
a drug shop in Industrial Area in Kamuli District
reportedly sent a six year old girl to the
deceased’s father’s home in Kanange, about
five kilometres from the crime scene to inform
relatives about her offence before she fled.
Here is the knife she used to commit the
murders.
According to Busoga North Police
spokesperson, Mr Michael Kasadha, preliminary
investigations show that the crime was
premeditated. The bodies of the two children
were found lain on a blanked next to each other
with bloodstains. Their necks were detached
with a blood stained knife said to be a murder
weapon set aside in a basin.
“She killed the children, mopped the floor,
cleaned the knife, placed the bodies together
and had time to change her clothes before
taking off. This shows that she took her time
with no one noticing,” he said.
Kasadha added that police is hunting for the
suspect, who is on the run, to face justice.
He however cautioned the angry members of
the public to hand her over to police if they see
her and not take the matter in their hands by
way of mob justice.
Here are the shocked residents at the location
of the murder.
