Druze worldwide as a commemoration of
Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) willingness to sacrifice
his son, as commanded by Allah. (Muslim
tradition names Ishmael as the son who was to
be sacrificed, whereas the Judeo-Christian
tradition names Isaac.)
